Reading through the Bible: Number 92
https://campuscyclery.com/2023/02/1wnl88tscty Good morning friends!
Let me encourage you, if you are reading along in my journey through the Scriptures, to also be reading the Bible chapters mentioned for yourself. As individuals, we are often at different places in our experience with God. And so you see, what the Holy Spirit draws to my attention could be quite different to what He would like to accentuate to you! Read prayerfully, asking God for help to understand how it relates to your life just now.

By that time he has been in Egypt almost as long as he had been a part of Jacob’s family circle. It says in Genesis 37:2 that Joseph was 17 years old when he had the dreams that stirred his older brothers to jealousy and they began the process of separating him from his family. When Pharaoh makes him prime minister of Egypt, (Genesis 41:46) he is thirty years old.
How he FACED those 13 years is no doubt the key to his success as a person! Frequently we are reminded that God was with him and blessed him in all that he did. That tells me that he made God first each day in his personal life. His response to the temptation that Potiphar’s wife placed before him is another indication of that, remember? He said: “How can I do this great wickedness and sin against God!”

One of my favourite authors says: “There is no limit to the usefulness of one who, by putting self aside, makes room for the working of the Holy Spirit upon his heart and lives a life wholly consecrated to God. If men will endure the necessary discipline, without complaining or fainting by the way, God will teach them hour by hour, day by day.” Desire of Ages page 250
